This elegant room is named for the daughter of General Stanley who navigated a wooden hulled stern-wheeler steam boat also called the Josephine, up the Yellowstone River in 1877. The boat that brought passengers and supplies to the people of this area and to the military troops was a place of crossing a few miles down the river. She was referred to as the Grand Dame of the Yellowstone.
We think Miss Josephine would love this room with the king-sized bed and windows by the luxurious soaking tub in a private bath overlooking the Yellowstone River and we believe she was a young woman who was used to being pampered. Perhaps it will suit your whimsy for a pampered stay at our bed and breakfast in Billings MT.
